Market open with negative note. Among the frontliners, Sterlite Industries, DLF, Unitech, ICICI Bank, SBI, HDFC, L&TGAIL, Hindalco, SAIL, and Infosys were witnessing selling pressure and Cipla, Ranbaxy, BPCL, Sun Pharma, ITC and HUL were gainers in early trade. Most of the shares in nse witnessing under selling pressure. The midcap index and smallcap index were traded down today. As long as the Nifty holds 5400, long positions should be maintained so buy nifty on dips with 5480 as stop loss and booking profits at 5550.
